Support & FAQ

Developer: vault. Self-Custodial Architecture iOS • Android

01. What does non-custodial and sovereign mean?

Non-custodial means you, and strictly you, hold and control the cryptographic private keys to your wallet. VaultETH never has access to your assets, recovery phrase, or password. There are no corporate servers or custodial accounts.

02. Can vault. recover my funds if I lose my recovery phrase?

No. Your BIP-39 recovery phrase is generated directly on your device's hardware Secure Enclave or Android Keystore chip. It is never transmitted across the network. If you lose your phrase and delete the app, no one on Earth can recover it. Always write it down offline.

03. Does VaultETH charge transaction fees or take swap cuts?

VaultETH charges 0% platform fees. 100% of the network gas fee displayed during transaction preparation is paid directly to blockchain validators for transaction confirmation.

04. Why is biometric verification (Face ID / Keystore) prompted?

Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode is enforced by your device's hardware keystore to safeguard your recovery phrase against unauthorized access. Every transaction signature or key reveal triggers hardware authorization.

05. Can I use custom RPC nodes or private nodes?

Yes. VaultETH allows adding custom JSON-RPC URLs for any supported EVM network or testnet, providing full self-hosting and maximum redundancy.
